An unusual find from an estate, this charming vermeil ring is marked "Sample" on the tag.
It, and several others, were sample "Mother's" rings in a jewelry store that has long closed.
The stones, may be genuine, but I am not sure and am pricing these as just pretty rings. If they are real and worth much more, you got a bonus.
Vintage gold over sterling silver 'Mother's Ring' jewelry store sample
This one is a light blueish stone (maybe a topaz or peridot), aqua (pale blue with a hint of green) and a clear stone with a metal heart on each end - size 6 - a tight 6, more like 5 3/4 if there were such a thing.
This does not have to be a "Mother's ring" or Grandmother's ring"... it can be just a pretty ring.
Well made with stones intact
Marked "ster" on the inside band.
I have no idea as to the gold content or if the stones are just glass or the real thing because this was a sample ring that the jewelry store had on display and I do not have any other information.
We are pricing it as just a pretty ring.
If it turns out that the stones and the gold are real and it is worth more than that, we are happy for you.
I see some wear and minor scratches to this ring.
The gold finish could use polished.
*Please check to make sure the stones and setting are very secure and then have the pieces of vintage jewelry gently cleaned by a jeweler or collector who understands vintage jewelry.
*All items are "as is" and there are no returns so please read the descriptions and see the photos before you buy.
