An unusual find from an estate, this pretty ring, and several others, were sample "Engagement" rings in a jewelry store that has long closed.
Gorgeous, princess cut solitaire.
A tight size 9, so I would think this was made a size 8 1/2-8 3/4.
Marked on the inside with a "U" with n arrow through it which is the mark for Uncas Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island which was in business from 1911 until at least 1988.
It is marked as a size 9.
The silvertone plating is in nice condition with a few signs of wear.
The stone is about 7mm; the ring band is about 2mm wide.
This well made piece would make a great right hand ring, interim engagement or promise ring, or good if you need to pretend to be married.
This would be great to wear on vacation or to some other place when you might want to leave your very expensive set at home.
The stones, may be genuine, in this case I highly doubt it, but I am not sure and am pricing as just a pretty ring. If real and worth much more, you got a bonus.
Well made with stone intact
I see a little wear and minor scratches to this ring.
