Caroline Emmons vintage 1978 convertible, long 45" goldtone chain with 6 lime colored beads that almost glow and are capped with goldtone.
It was called Limelight.
This long necklace can be worn in several ways !
Wear it full length, wear it as a choker and a necklace; a choker and a bracelet; wear it as two necklaces; wear it as a bracelet or two with a necklace or two...
Or, wear one or more of the sections separately or mix and match with something else.
There are 4 sections: two, 15" chain sections
two, 7 1/2" sections - each of the bracelet sized sections have three of the "Limelight" beads.
There are spring clasps connecting the four sections.
There is the classic hand tag signed "Emmons".
My Mom sold Caroline Emmons jewelry in the 70's and very early 80's until they closed.
* In 1949 Charles Stuart founded the Emmons Jewelry Company to honor his wife Caroline Emmons Stuart.
Like Sarah Coventry jewelry, the Emmons line was sold at home parties - my Mom sold both for a while, but stayed with Caroline Emmons and won so many trips and other awards for being a top salesperson for them.
The retail prices of the Emmons pieces were often higher than Sarah Coventry pieces (Sarah Coventry was named after his daughter).
Today Emmons pieces are harder to obtain than Sarah Coventry pieces.
The company was based in New York City, and did business until 1981. The "EMMONS" marked jewelry started in 1955 before that it was marked EmJ.
This looks in good vintage condition from what I could see - not perfect of course and could use a cleaning.
