Nice, hardly used if ever - vintage hat.
This treasure is a blonde mink fur (real fur and pretty sure it is blonde mink, but no label) over a copper colored satin covered wire base vintage hat. It also has a copper colored bow.
This hat can be worn with the bow in the front as shown or to the back or to either side.
From being displayed on the shelf, there is a little wear on the bottom pieces and I see a few tears in the veil. The rest of seems in great shape for being a 60+ year old hat.
As I said, I think this one is an unused hat, but am pricing it as used because I am not sure and because of the minor condition issues.
It is about 8" across x 8 inches from edge to edge.
Inside measures about 7 1/2 by 7 1/4 inches across.
Height is about 3" plus the veil.
This hat is an open crown covered in tan netting dotted with tan fuzzy details.
It sits snugly on the head using slightly adjustable wire, but I wouldn't bend them as this is an old hat.
I remember my maternal Grandma having a hat like this one.
* I do not clean the items - I sell them in the same condition as I find them as I am not an expert.
As hats are delicate, they need to be sent in a box and packed carefully which means it adds to the cost of getting it to you, but this cannot be helped.
