Nice vintage hat that I think is N.O.S. but the glue holding the feather has yellowed and looks terrible.
It looks like the hat was never worn as the inside is perfect !
Removing the old feather would make this hat look like new.
*Maybe it would be much better to just add a feather in the front of the old one to cover the old glue spots and not risk damaging the hat.
The sale price reflects the old glue showing on the feather.
This is a pretty rolled brim black topper vintage hat with dainty lily of the valley tucked in the left side brim.
There is a ring of rolled, black netting around the band - I would imagine it is there to hide to stems of the flowers and the feather.
It is about 9 x 8 1/2 inches from brim to brim across the hat.
Inside is about 7 x 6 1/2 across and size label reads '22 M.SC'
It is about 3 inches high
* I do not clean the items - I sell them in the same condition as I find them as I am not an expert.
As hats are delicate, they need to be sent in a box and packed carefully which means it adds to the cost of getting it to you, but this cannot be helped.
